Lotion Presentation

Each bottle Contains:
Permithrin BP 5.0% W/V

This lotion is used to treat scabies, caused by tiny insects called mites that irritates the skin. Permethrin belongs to the class of drugs known as pyrethrins. Permethrin acts by paralyzing & killing the mites and their eggs.

Indications

• Permethrin is used for the treatment scabies.
• Permethrin is used to treat lice infection.
• To get rid of itch mite.

Mechanism of Action

Permethrin work by acting on the nerve cell membrane to interferes with the sodium channel current that regulates the polarization of the membrane so therefore delayed repolarisation and causes the paralysis of the lice and mites.

Side Effects

The product is possible safe for most adults. There is no disadvantage associated with the product if taken under the recommended usage however itching, redness, numbness of the skin, rashes and tingling of the skin may occur in some patients.

Storage

Store below 25ºC.

Contraindication

• Contraindicated in neonates.
• Do not apply cuts and wounds.

Precaution

• Avoid contact with eyes
• Discontinue the use immediately if adverse symptoms seen
